1. Installing Terraform CLI

🐧 Linux (Ubuntu / Debian)

2. Recommended: Installing tfenv (Terraform Version Manager)

tfenv allows switching seamlessly between multiple Terraform versions across different projects.

# Clone tfenv repository
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/tfutils/tfenv.git ~/.tfenv

# Add to PATH (~/.bashrc or ~/.zshrc)
echo 'export PATH="$HOME/.tfenv/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc

# Install and switch Terraform versions
tfenv install 1.7.0
tfenv use 1.7.0
